A Tenson icon and heritage performance down jacket that has made it to the top of Mt Everest. The robust lightweight Naomi Expedition down jacket with a fixed hood is designed and developed for arctic expeditions, your everyday winter adventures or in the slopes. It features a water-repellent durable ripstop fabric and is filled with RDS certified down (700 fill power) with a fluffy 90/10 down-to-feather ratio. On windy days, you can easily pull up the plush collar or use the robust, adjustable warm and cozy hood. Comes with smart details like adjustable hoodie, adjustable sleeves, two-way fleece-lined pockets, an inner pocket with secure zip and audio cord outlet. Should you get too warm, you can easily carry the jacket with you thanks to the removable suspenders attached on the inside. The Naomi Expedition jacket is an homage to Japanese adventurer Naomi Uemura, who is especially known for single-handedly mastering adventures previously only done in groups. He was, among other things, the first person to reach the North Pole and to climb Denali alone. He also joined an expedition to Mount Everest, sponsored by Tenson, in 1981. The day after his 43rd birthday, Naomi Uemura disappeared while attempting to climb Denali in winter, and he will always be remembered as the solo adventurer. In spring of 2022 - for the first time in 35 years (1987), The Swedish Outdoor Brand returned to reach the summit of Mount Everest! On 15 May 2022, Sonam Sherpa, Managing Director of Sherpa Adventure and member of the Tenson community - reached Everest’s summit in Tenson’s Naomi Expedition Jacket! The Carbon Capture Certificate guarantees that all of the carbon dioxide released in the making of a product is sequestrated in trees. This increased carbon sink is ensured through growth-enhancing measures, primarily the planting of new forests. Consumers are presented with the option to choose a product with no carbon footprint! The Carbon Capture Company plants enough trees to absorb the amount of carbon dioxide contracted by the licensee. Planting is done on land that is not arable nor suitable for pasture.
